Your guide meets you at Saltholmen ferry terminal, where your adventure begins with a scenic ferry ride through the calm waters of the Bohuslän archipelago.
Arriving at Styrsö Bratten, you step into a peaceful world of historic wooden villas, lush gardens, and quiet footpaths. As you explore the island, your guide shares stories of local fishing traditions, summer retreats, and the relaxed rhythm of Swedish island life. A short walk leads to Stora Rös, Styrsö’s highest point, offering panoramic views across the sea, often stretching all the way to the famous Vinga Lighthouse.
A charming footbridge connects Styrsö to Donsö, a vibrant fishing island known for its lively harbor and strong maritime heritage. Here, rustic red boathouses stand beside modern fishing vessels, illustrating the island’s important role in Sweden’s shipping and seafood industries. Despite its global connections, Donsö preserves its small-town charm and authentic coastal traditions, giving visitors a true taste of island culture.
